I'm trying to hook up a Delphi SkiFi. No cassette player and the FM modulator doesn't fit our antenna jack.
Commando, Can you post a picture of the front and rear of the radio you pulled? We can email the pictures to a few of the electronics outfits that provide the converters and get to the bottom of whether the 2003/04 in dash 6 disc unit can have an electronic "aux" converter added. Thanks

I wish I had taken photos. The CD Changer control jack is a small square 10-pin connector about ½" X ½". On my radio it was just above the main connector. FYI, you can pick up an antenna adapter at most local electronic stores, but the sound quality of an FM modulator does not compare to the direct connect...Mike

By the way, mine is a 1 disc CD player.

Ahhh! The 1 disc unit will work because it has an input for the external CD changer. The 6 disc "in dash" changer won't because it doesn't have the external CD input on the back of the unit.

This RBQ head unit on E-Bay has the same CD changer port I used on my head unit (RAZ).

You can see it next to the main connector...a small square 10-pin port. But, the P.I.E. website says the RBQ is not compatible with the interface I have. I am confused now. If you have not already, call or e-mail P.I.E. for clarification. There, I will be quiet now. I hope you work it out, Mike

No I haven't. I plan to check with the dealer on the radio order code for my truck. That way I'll know what I have and can check with P.I.E. Electronics to see if they have something for my unit. I'm a bit too busy to start pulling the dash apart. Is there a simple way to pull the radio??

Kayjh, did you ever find out if your unit was compatible with a PIE interface? I have the same unit as you (RBQ).

How about with an RB1 and Uconnect

Does anyone have this combo with a wired adapter for their Ipod?

I jumped through every hoop to see if there was an option for the 6 disc changer and an in line device and the problem is that there are no CD changer controls on the 6 disc unit becuase it doesn't need them. All of the aftermarket iPod type devices use the CD changer controls to communicate between the two devices. Therefore, if you want to get an in line adapter you need a different head unit like the RB1 or RBK, etc.

I've been wanting a more stock setup for navigation with iPod compatability so I decided to get a new RB1 on ebay with the Pie Interface and it sounds amazing.

tjr76, the RB1 with Uconnect won't work with an adapter becuase the Uconnect system uses the small sqaure 10 pin port that the iPod adapters use so it's either one or the other, unfortunately.
