the seat belt buckel under drivers seat is just a ground loop. the latch goes in and completes the ground. tap those 2 wires together to complete the ground. SRS system thinks seat belt is engaged 24/7

the key procedure only kills the chime. it does not do anything with the light. the procedure is in the owners manual on 06-newer trucks.

I can deal with the light, I just don't want to hear the chime over and over again while driving through the deerlease.

How to disable the chime is CLEARLY explained in the 2006 owners manual. I disabled both the chime and the light by jumping the two wires in the connector associated to the seat belt using a paper clip. Bent it so it would insert into the plug - kind of a squared-off 'U' - does a perfect job and can easily be removed. The plug is located at the seat base, easily accessed at the back of the seat.

I just went and disabled the chime. I am kind of concered with jumping the wires. I am not sure if this tells the trucks computer that it is ok to deploy the airbags thiking your seat is buckled or not. I never drive on the roads without my seat belt either way, but I still don't like the thought of bypassing something that could potentialy do alot of damage if something does happen.
