Another dually tire thread

I have done a lot of reading and searching on the forum on going with bigger tires. The problem is that I can't find the same answers I want to run 285/70/17 BFG AT's the post that I read aren’t consistent some guys say the are running them with no spacers some say ¼” some say 3/8” or ½” I don’t tow heavy a few times a month I tow my 28ft toy hauler and my off-road truck around not sure of the weight on the toy hauler but the truck and trailer is only about 6000lbs. Could some one give me a little advice?

Hi.
2" spacers between the duals is enough, but on third gens you'll need a small 1/4" spacer between the inner wheel and the hub. Or so I have heard, otherwise it will rub the shackles.

I have 2nd gen with 3rd gen dually wheels and 37x12.5" -17 Pro Comps and 2" spacer between the duals and that's it.

Check my Gallery.

The toyos I just put on are definitely close to the shackles, but not rubbing or touching-I figure I have about a 1/2" space between the tires and the shackles, so an inside spacer would be up to you, but a spacer between the wheels would definitely be necessary. I have a 2" spacer, which in my opinion is about 1/2" too much, but on the other hand if I would have went smaller I would have had to trim the original lugs-not the best idea in my opinion. I will try to pm you a pic of the spacer later on.
