Ambient temp -40 but sensor good

Ambient temp -40 but sensor good
03 2500. Temp display started showing -40. Replaced with O'Reilly sensor, same thing. Replaced with Mopar sensor, same thing. Tested plug and sensor, both showing good. (5.006 v at the plug). The display is still showing -40. Thoughts? Anyone had the same problem?
