Advice on good suspension lift?
Advice on good suspension lift?
Let me start by saying my truck rides really rough.i know that big trucks automatically ride rough, but mine is really bad. It's an 03 2500 lwb 4x4. I bought it with 150,000 miles on it and it had 35x12.50 bfg mud terrains. So i know it must have some sort of lift on it, but it dosen't sit real high, and theres barely any clearance in the front. The tires will rub if you turn all the way. The shocks look like stock shocks (flat black in color). I figure with all the miles on it that they need replaced, but i wanted to go up a little more to get more tire clearance. Probably 4". I very rarely pull anything, and i want the smoothest ride available. What would be the (brand, model) of suspension to make this truck ride like a cadillac?
I am looking at buying a RevTek 4.5in lift here soon. They seem to be the only company that doesn't leave critical items out of thier kits without charging extra to get them. Thier feedback looks great, and price isn't too bad for what they offer.
Not to be a smart ****, but I doubt that unless you are willing to drop some serious coin your Dodge will never ride like a Caddy!
Start by finding out whats on it now, if it's just a leveling kit in front it wont be hard to figure out.

Most suspension lifts will not improve the ride since they use your super stiff rear springs and just add a block to it. In the front they replace your soft single rate coils with stiff single rate coils. They best shocks on the planet aren't going to do much good if the suspension won't move much in the first place. A performance suspension that uses progressive rate coils and replaces the the rear overload leaf with a progressive rate leaf pack will do wonders when couples with some Bilstein 5100's or correctly valved 7100's. These systems usually lift your truck 3" in the front and about an inch in the back. Carli is the best in this field with multiple different systems available.
