As a good Viper buddy once taught me...the year matters. You have nothing indicating what you own.

Reason I say this is....my 07 came from the factory with Sirius...so, feasibly, my stereo unit COULD (possibly) fit into your truck.

Not knowing what year you have kinda limits the advice to conjecture and guessing.

You might be able to get something factory...or after-market.

Then yes, you could replace your radio with either an 06' or 07' factory radio that has Sirius built in. Other than that the answer is no, the radio that you current have is not satellite radio equipped.

I have an 05 and purchased a direct tuner for XM off the internet and just plugged it into the stock radio ran the wiring and it works great. Not sure if the same goes for the 06's, but I don't see why not. Call the dealer and ask them.

your radio will work you just need to order the factory sirius brain and antenna from your dodge dealership.

Question

I just bought an '04.5 with the factory navigation system. It appears that I can add Sirius to mine ( according to the navigation / radio manual ), but how do I go about doing it, do I call Sirius direct ? Or do I do this thru my local Dodge dealership ? The previous owner never signed up for it and there is no transponder on the outside of the truck anywhere. Also, am I limited to only getting Sirius with the factory nav / radio head unit, or can I get XM also ? Thanks in advance.

I installed it on my RBQ factory radio. Look up the part #s online at dodge parts .com or something like that.I purchased all my stuff off e-bay brand new for about 120 bucks.First I purchased the modual for 60 and later the correct install kit for about the same. I installed it myself, its easy and I than signed up for lifetime member for $400.My truck is an 05 but if you look it up you can find the part #s for your 06.I really do not think you will need a different radio.

I'm checking into this for my Father and it appears you can add a box and install kit for around $255 - has anyone done this on a 2006 with single CD?
