haha

this is funny, ran my truck at drag strip this weekend, got on the side lane coming back and felt horrible vibration throughout whole truck, i always run my heat as hot and high as it will go when i pull or race, i turned the fan off and vibration went away. Next day pulled fan motor and plastic piece lodged in blades and found recirc door laying on top of the fan. So today i spent all afternoon taking gauges out and the other million wires i installed, dealership said they would cut them and not repair them if it hendered them from moving dash back to access hvac unit. So now im riding around in a tore up truck. Boohoo. Oh yeah its an 06 with 31,750. GO DODGE!!

What does the entire HVAC assembly cost, if you don't mind my asking?

I have NO idea, mine was covered under warranty. You could probably find out at some website like dodgeparts.com with the part number.

I'm one of the many it seems...36,500 miles mine crapped out. Sounded like a Cessna landed on my roof when I turned up the air...

Had mine back 3 times now, 1st time they added freon and calibrated-no good, 2nd time replaced evaporator and recharged-no good, this time they got someone who knew what he was doing and calibrated with the "Star" handheld-it will freeze you out of truck. Hope it last, it cost me 3 deductibles on my Extended Warranty = $300+taxes. They turned off my fast idle feature by mistake, and i have a couple of dash wounds now. I keep a thermo in both of the center vents, they are staying within 5 degrees now and will get down to 55 degrees and gets cold alot quicker. I fought this for 3 years at least.

UPDATE! Looks like time number 3 for that stinking mode door (87,000 miles). Got in the truck today with it being 14 degrees outside. After 20 minutes of driving, I notice my toes are still cold but my face is starting to melt! Air is supposed to be coming out onto the floor, but everything pouring out the defrost, no matter where the selector **** is pointing. Dammit!

I'm sure my name is in the system for the "updated" parts I bought at the Dodge Garage last time. Looks like I'll be going down there Monday and raise some Cain!

Mine busted a little while back. I droped the motor and pulled the door out and just left it out.
