Ac blend door club

I'm getting a club together of folks who have experienced the broken blend door issue.

Those who only report warm air on the passenger side but have not yet removed their dash and confirmed a broken blend door do not qualify.

thank you

Easiest thing to get the blender door out I did it and now i have more air blowing thru the vents the only thing is that you cannot choose for recirculation or outside.

The Blend Door and the Recirc Door are two different animals. A broken recirc door can be removed through the fan motor opening. I don't think you can get at the blend door without removing the dash.

door

Mine came out from behind the blower motor. It fell out at 39K. I don't have defrost now. Will I need to remove the dash to get it back in?

I apologize about that... and thank you mike for the correction. My recirc door was what prevented my air flow not the blender door that is still fine. But i would suggest checking to see if ya'lls recirc door has not fallen off b/c mine did and when i took it out it was a different A/C all together.

I think I've got that problem right now. Cranked the fan on high and very little air is coming out of the vents. Blend door works but recirc. dont. Let me get this straight, all I have to do is pull the fan motor to have access to the recirc door? And then just pull it out or what? Any side-effects?

The recriculation door broke on one of my trucks (2004) I wire tied it closed, only draws from out side now. broken door was resricting airflow through fan. works fine only no max air.
