No recall, the replacement for the broken recirc door is now a housing with actuator and door pre-installed.New and improved design

But why is it so quiet and why doesn't the airflow rate change between outdoor and recirc?

Before I'd put my AC on recirc and it'd blow much stronger, now there's no difference.

I don't notice much of a change in mine between recirculate and fresh air intake...

If you want to make sure yours is working, just pull the glove box and you should see the recirc door blocking the grill for the cab intake, and see it move to block the fresh intake and open the cab intake when you switch it.

Bob - is the new version, part number 5161419-AA "Housing Air Recircu" ?

Or should I expect the above to fail again "whenever"?

Thanks,
JC

Got an early '04 and noticed today that I have cold a/c on driver's side and warm on passenger side. Is there a passenger side blend door even though I only have the single zone a/c system? Or is this caused by just the recir. door falling out. I have not pulled the blower motor yet.

Blend door

Mine broak right after they replaced heater core. a month before they replaced the evaporator. the blend door cost me over 500B, and now the fan clutch has gone out, 900B and a code. Is this covered under warranty? They say NO. At this rate I'm spending my children's inheritance!

2004 ctd auto stock 4x4 slt Qcab 91k miles 15.5 in town & 23 road mpg, towing 19k gvw lb 6-18mpg.

Marc
