Re:3500 SRW Shocks?

Have been trying to purchase some Rancho shocks for my '03 2500 and was told the 2002's will not fit and that Rancho is still developing shocks to fit the '03's. So based on that info I would say no, but remember, I don't know nuttin'.

Re:3500 SRW Shocks?

I have Rancho RS5000 shocks on the front of my '03. They greatly improved the ride. The only reason I put them on was for the leveling kit. I was going to get the RS9000 but the guy who put my leveling kit on talked me out of them saying he uses them on his 2k1 CTD and has had no problems.

just curious to what you have installed for a leveling kit on your 03. skyjacker told me to wait till aftermarket controll arms were out to set caster. thanks.

To me it looks like the '03 4X4's sit lower than the 2002's.

The 2002 shock might be a bit long for them.

All you'd have to do is measure the stock shock travel, and order new ones with the same, just make sure they are the heavy duty ones.

I can't believe Rancho wouldn't have one with the same travel.

phox

Re:3500 SRW Shocks?

Just ordered a set of Rancho's for my 2500 and the numbers they came up with are:
99197 Front
99269 Rear.
Pick them up next week, so will see if they fit.

Re:3500 SRW Shocks?

This is to confirm that the Rancho 9000x part numbers for the '03's are:
99197 Front
99269 Rear
Installed them a few days ago and have about 600 miles on them now. Big difference in no load ride. Much smoother on the bumpy roads. Have not yet tried them with a load but do not expect a problem.
