I could be thrilled too if I knew about it.

The dealer gave me my VON (vehicle order number) when I ordered. It doesn't show up on the Insight web site yet.
Did you mean you got your VIN (vehicle identification number) on 2-5?
Where in Soutwest Michigan are you? I'll be moving to Kalamazoo in June. Hope the truck doesn't take too long to get here...it may be July before I get to the zoo.

Jarmar.... All I know is that when my salesman phoned Monday, he said "Dodge has upped the rebate another $1,000 in March for Truck Month." I'm not sure if this is nationwide or just here. That was the first I've heard of it.

Checked Insight again this morning. Yesterday, the Port arrival information had disappeared (was supposed to have been yesterday, 3/9), with delivery to dealer 3/22. These dates had been the "pushed back" dates from 3/3 and 3/15, respectively.
That's my post from yesterday morning. I checked again this morning, and BEFORE I signed in, I thought to myself, I bet it will say 3/11 and 3/24, respectively! And it DOES!

So, each day, it gets pushed back another day. My guess is that the ship (if it is even ON a ship) is OVERDUE into port, so each day that it doesn't arrive, Insight just pushes it back a day. I'm going to call my dealer today, but I'm sure they won't be able to tell me anything.

On edit: When I look at all the 3500s due into my dealer, there are 8 that yesterday all had dates of 3/23, and this morning they are all 3/24. so, the must all be on the same ship. I'm going to do like I did yesterday - around noon check again, and see if the Port information has disappeared. That's what's been happening the last couple days.

I checked the dodge.com website and it still showed $2500 for the 2500. It shows $3500 and $4500 for the caravans.

Thanks TexasZach for the word from home. (I was born and raised in Dallas). I checked the Dodge Web site also and did not find anything for my zip code. Maybe it is just a Texas thing.

What I saw on the web is they added $1000.00 more for the gasers not the diesels. What is up with the DC site? My truck has not been updated since 2-27-04. No one seems to know anything

All I had to do was talk about it. Checked Insight this morning and I have a VIN...just 1 day shy of 2 weeks since I ordered.
Then the dealer called and said the truck is supposed to ship from the factory on 3/23/04 and he said it should be in the first week in April. That seems awful fast from what I see on here.

Where are you located? Mine shipped 2/23, and I'm going to be lucky to see MINE by the first week of April, I think.

I think your dealer is being a *bit* optimistic.

I'm in San Diego so mine should be quicker (no boat ) but it still seems way too soon.

And...........that's what has happened. Port info disappeared again.

Something may be wrong here, because it just shows now as "railcar" in Vera Cruz. Yet I ran the VIN of a truck released later than mine, and it is on the ship. So, I'm wondering if my truck is still in Mexico.

I also ran a truck which had been released 3 weeks earlier than mine. It shows "special order to move", dated of 3/9. Anybody know what that is?

Update -

Called my salesperson, who went into his system (don't know if it was Insight, because it shows a KZM code (railcar) which doesn't show on Insight. He does see the ETA of 3/24, but thinks the railcar *may* be on the boat? He exact words were "this tracking system leaves ALOT to be desired".

He did give me a railcar number - TTGX159899. Can anyone track that for me, or direct me to a website?

Why do I have a bad feeling my truck is still in Mexico?

This is old, but from here: http://dodgeram.org/buying_info/Order_status.htm

Once you have the train car number I found the information at http://my.uprr.com/pet/ more accurate and informative. The Burlington Northern site is good for finding the rail car number if you have the VIN though. Union Pacific also has maps at http://www.uprr.com/uprr/ffh/maps/sysmap/ that give you some of the strange train station names they use for identifying locations. If your not at your computer but have access to a phone try 1-800-634-2204 and follow the instructions. This computerized message will tell you accurately where the train car is, same information as the above internet site. I followed my truck, which I am going to pick up tomorrow, from St. Louis to Portland using the above. It finally got to Portland last Thursday morning. Once your truck leaves the plant don't bother calling the 1-800-992-1997 number at CC unless you just want the rail car number...........

I went by a local dealer again this morning, and still no 600's or any CTD's on the lot out of the 20 or so rams, mostly 1500's.

"The tracking system leaves alot to be desired"? Boy, he's got a real firm grip of the obvious, doesn't he?
