;D Truly good news! ;D I just received a letter from DCX indicating they were extending the paint warantee on my truck to 10 years 100k miles.

This was due to the possibility of the contaminated primer issue. My truck was one of the impacted ones. It's unclear whether mine was sold before tested, or tested and passed.

Either way, they will repair parts and labor if a failure occurs due to primer separation. It does not extend rust coverage past the normal warantee, and scratches, etc are specifically excluded.

This letter removes one of my lingering concerns about my truck. If I can just address the 2000 rpm drone I'll be squawk-free! (And there is hope there with the VIN rivet TSB)

DCX has significantly restored my confidence!

Silver, and I don't remember the date. It was in the date range originally referenced in the primer issues back in the spring. May be able to find a reference in the archives.

got the same letter yesterday. Mine is white but I have not had any paint problems. Believe mine is a march build date.

March build, mine is (fire red) got one also the other day

Do a search on primer contamination and you'll find it. One of the threads had the text of the original fax to dealers.

Supposedly about 450 vehicles impacted.

Got the same letter the other day made me a little bit happier although I don't think my truck was in the range of the problem. Mine is an Atlantic Blue built sometime in Feb-March.
