06 reflash worrked for me

Had my 06 in for service last week and I gave them tsb#18-003-06 while I have not been far enough to calculate a full tank I can tell you my mileage is better as My overhead has gone from 12.8-16.4 over the strtch of a 50mile trip. Still not what i was expecting but much of a releaf. I suggest that yo utake the number in with you when you get it done because it had been in once and I did not give them a # and had no result. Now if I could only get my speedo calibrated correctly they are telling me thay can only use mopar sizes so they got it as close as they could. Starting to not like my truck but love it. 5200 miles

Is that the hard start & white smoke tsb? My dealer said they did it to the shop truck and 1 of the employees trucks and it made things worse. My mpg is still hanging around 13-14 w/2200 miles on the ticker.

Yes, that's the hard start TSB. It also improved my mileage by almost 2mpg hand calculated. I didn't catch what climate zone you live. In the PNW no problem.

My local dealer had never heard of it. Good thing I brought in the TSB print out. Also, I'm now running the new 7micron fuel filter. No difference yet.

I've had it done and gained an honest 2-3 mpg. However it still starts hard once in a while

i got that flash...i think is same one and it is for turbo longevity and the fuel mixture and such....maybe not...but the one I got was for turbo longevity and I also experienced an increase in mileage....I was within 1/2 a mile of hand calc before...taking trip to melbourne tomorrow so will check again.

I took my 06 back into the dealer I bought it from for the first LOF because I got a free coupon when I purchased the truck. The truck has 3133 miles on it. When I first got the truck I was somewhat upset as can be seen by my earlier posts due to the fact I was getting about 12 - 13 MPG on the hwy. When I got to about 2000 miles I was up to about 14.5 miles per gallon. I ran the truck almost to empty before I took it into get the service done because I wanted to check the mileage on from a full tank. Got the service done and then without asking they did a Flash on the truck for "White Smoke on Start Uo". They also did a Safety recall for a Rollover Valve Hose. Great dealer I am really happy. Now the good part. After the service I filled the truck up and started the 150 mile drive home. By the time I got home the overhead was reading 17.9. That was driving at about 2100 RPM. I am really happy about that. I usually fill up at 1/2 a tank so I will do a hand calc and get some accurate numbers. Expect they will improve. Mechanic at the dealer said the MPG would get better up until about 20K miles. Takes that long to break in.

I don't want them to touch my computer.. I have told 'em to leave well alone - 22.6 mpg solo is tooooooo gooood to have messed about with.. I don't mind that the overhead only reckons I am getting 19, and the hard start goes away if you just turn the key off, and try again.
