06' 3500 MegaCab Vent dial switch not working

Anybody ever have a problem with the vent dial switch not working ?? i just noticed that it seems to not be working. I rotate the dial and nothing happens. I have a little AC air coming out of the vents but I can hear a whole lot of action happening behind the dash and not much air for it.

I believe there is a TSB out for the rear vent related to a rod that becomes disconnected behind the dash supposedly you can see it from the passenger side. Probably something similar but take it into the dealer for the easiest solution.

I'll take a peek back there and see if I can find anything hanging down.

most likely a broken blend door, it is unfortunately a common occurence. I had it happen on my 05 but have read several posts on the 06's having the same issue. The entire dash has to come off. What a PITA.

I just tried the fix posted here by someone else regarding pulling the fan motor, easy, 3 small bolts, and pulling out the broken door. Air blows great now and I love my mega again.

Thats funny I noticed mine doing the same thing this past week lot of noise in the dash like the blowers going but hardly any output at the vents...
I figured my door broke?????I also notice the sound does not change when I rotate the **** to recycle.....usually it gets a lot louder and more out put at the vents.......

That, or it's the A/C compressor clutch. Mine usually thunks good when I start it with the A/C still on.

Has anyone had problems with the A/C cooling the truck. Yesterday I turned on the A/C and fairly quickly both vents on the drivers side of the Radio were blowing cold air, but the vent to right of the radio, was blowing hot air?!

What's up with that???
