04.5 Lube Points

This is my first post here, I have been on here for a couple years now but have always been able to find the information i needed without posting. Without a doubt this is the best site around IMO. You guys have gotten me through many a challenges.

I am trying to figure out exactly how many grease points we have on our 04.5's. And what is the best way to go about getting to those. I know the newer trucks have the zerk on the front driveshaft. I will be trying to take care of mine tomorrow when i do my oil and fuel filter, but i must admit i have been neglecting my lube points. Any & all info is much appreciated.

David

There are two, one near each front tire. If there are others I missed them.

Yes until the stuff wears out and you put good parts back in. There is not to much greasing to do.

Yeah... I used the needle on all mine and pumped a bunch of aluminum complex grease with Moly (Schaeffer's #229 Ultra Red Moly EP) into them until I saw the boot move... drove it for a week and did it again... I know they are going to last longer now!
