help with dpf delete

Ok I know this has been beat to death but I really dont want to have to get rid of my truck..
When I drop to idle after running 60mph while the regenerate is active (not towing) I can see a light blue smoke from the passenger side fire wall and smell diesel ..The only thing that I can think of is its from the dpf pressure sensor (thats the only thing over there no exhaust leaks that I can find and it stops so fast at idle I cant find it..
Any ideas?
I really would like to get rid of all that crap but dont want to have to go to a tuner...
08 dodge ram 6spd manual, glow shift gauges pyro included. South Bend clutch.
Any other ideas where the smoke could be from or a kit that does not require a tuner?
Thanks....I should have bought an 07.....with out all that crap!

I fought hard to keep the EPA crap on my truck working. It was a losing battle after 150k. After much research and head scratching, I spent around $700 on EFI Autocal lite, a DPF delete pipe, and block off plates for the EGR stuff. Best money I have spent on the truck. Runs so much better, oil stays cleaner, and the EGT temps are 200-300 degrees cooler.

The dpf pressure sensor is a ways from the firewall and I doubt its your problem. You could have a leak on the rubber or tubing to it and can check that.
It sounds like you've got an exhaust leak in firewall area. Look for some black soot at the joints or for cracks/corrosion on the pipe and cats. Tighten the clamps at the turbo and after the dpf and check the gasket at the flange before the nac and tighten the bolts too.
If you've got corrosion/holes in the exhaust then its time to weigh the costs of repairs vs ......

Oh, and I hope you don't see the smoke inside the cab at the firewall!

Check the rear nuts on the studs that connect the EGR cooler to the manifold. They have been known to get loose. Mine were when I deleted, which I was thankful for, as they are a bugger to get to.

Check the nut on the inboard stud on the rear EGR cooler delete plate, it's probably thread bound. I think that stud is not in far enough from the factory, just take the nut off and add one plain washer under the lock washer. OOPs sorry I thought you were deleted, but I would check that anyway, it is hard to get at with a cooler but it may be not even have a lock washer under the nut.

This is the only place that I could think of . The smoke kinda rolls from under the fire wall so its not the cooler and I cant find any exhaust leaks..

. I cant really see what the hoses plug into just assumed that was the sensor..
Thanks

Pretty sure that's the DPF differential pressure sensor, it takes an exhaust gas feed from both sides of the DPF and looks for a difference indicating a DPF starting to get restricted.
