Just did the complete deletes on my 08 6.7 and wondering what setting to run on the programmer for best results for everyday driving. Dpf ,egr and turbo back exhaust .

I just did the same a couple weeks ago. Haven't used the truck much since but what little I have I seem to like "mild" for everyday driving. I'm waiting for the next fill up to hand calculate my mileage but the overhead liar is indicating an average of around 19 mpg while it indicated 15.4 average prior to the deletes.

I have mine set on wild, default timing, and normal throttle speed. I have not checked the MPG. But know it's way better already. I do wonder if the timing should be moved one way or the other and what benefits would it give. maybe someone with more knowledge could chime in.

I run mine on mild, boost defuel set at 38, cold coolant defuel at 170, hot defuel coolant at 220, EGT at 1350, can't remember trans? I do have head studs and 38 is in my comfort zone, don't know if I would do any more than 35 without studs, thats just me.

Pretty close to how I set the 08 I've been working on:

The cold defuel will limit power until the motor is up to temp, and is very useful. I have the EGT limit set at at a conservative 1250°. The truck tows quite a bit, and I prefer to play it very safe in regards to heat. Boost is set at 25 or 30 PSI to help preserve the HG. Timing is stock, again to help the HG live. Unloaded, cranking the power all the way up is loads of fun, and really gets decent mileage. When towing, EGT creeps up far too fast for that much fuel. One or at most two notches above stock fueling is all it really likes. More than that, and it defuels when the EGT gets up there, and freaks out the owner. The truck is fully deleted running a 5" TBE and a pusher intake.

I figured I needed to set the defuel up. I was wondering if more timing hurt highway mpg. I like running about 70 on the highway but have not had the time to play with it.
Any ideas ?

More timing (generally) gives slightly better mileage, but the increased cylinder pressure does not make the HG happy. Until the boss puts in studs, I am leaving the timing alone. It is one of those things where some folks say they ran crazy timing forever and never had a problem, and then some other poor guy goes out and pops a gasket in the first tank of fuel. I just can't justify the increased risk in my situation.

Lowest timing setting possible here
35 psi defuel
Normal pedal
170* until power added

I don't care about outright power on my '12... Just wanted it deleted.

Mileage gain could be had with higher timing but it's simply NOT worth the risk of a HG....

I do have a set of ARP 625's but I'm too lazy to put them in... I believe a good retorque of the stock bolts would hold just fine with some power though.

if you set it 35 psi before defueling, can you feel the truck nose over once the psi is reached.
