Deleting the 6.7: A guide to making it run right!
You can download me tunes from post #7 here: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...-tunes-315141/
28me is an oldie but goodie and should work fine.
In the link to the tunes you'll find the Mads delete instructions. Use them to verify the correct components are unplugged, or still plugged in.
Try reloading your tune to see if the message goes away.
Have you tried the reset pedal dance yet?

Tunes are different based on compatibility upgrades, dtc changes and dealer flash updates.
You can try either DRM01K or DRM01L and see if it helps.
The message you're getting is usually emissions or fuel related. First let's check the emissions part.
TCV and egr cooler servo plugs disconnected?
Egr valve actuator plugged in and plunger removed?
Dpf pressure sensor plugged in and both ports open to the atmosphere?
If the above checks out then try updating the tune.
Do you have a way of checking for pending codes?

I bought a used Mini Max and sent it to Advance Diesel to have it cleaned since it was uninstalled incorrectly. They fixed it and told me that it had the high sulfur tunes option; I asked them because it came in a 'Street' box. As I was removing the exhaust parts, I thought I'd better make sure the download worked before I completely removed the DPF/NOX; All wires and tubing are disconnected. However, when I downloaded the software into the truck, it didn't ask me if emissions were installed or removed which it's supposed to if I'm reading the instructions correctly. Also, when I go to emissions selection page, all that's there is a series of 1's....i.e. 11111. No ability to choose removed/installed nor can I change those numbers.
Any help would be appreciated.

Bought a high sulfur code and it worked as advertised. Everything is removed now and it runs great. Having trouble with the Special Functions; nothing seems to work; DRL, fogs on high, etc.
Maybe I'm just talking to myself, but I'm used to it.

Well, we hear you but this isn't an H&S specific forum. There are users on here but they may not have the expertise you're looking for.

Only thing I've got left is take it somewhere (like dealer or diesel shop) that can hook up to the obd port and monitor everything while it warms up and derates.
Has anyone ever tried to just remove the throttle plate from the throttle valve instead of replacing the whole assembly? It's already unplugged, but that would make where it couldn't close, because it wouldn't be there.
I think the problem would be that without the right programming to delete it that the ECU would be calling to close the valve and it never would and this could lead to other issues. The programming and unplugging essentially is doing this and one can remove and adapt this area all together.
I'm thinking that instead of removing the whole throttle valve, and getting a replacement. I would just take out the butterfly valve, and put it back. I already have it unplugged, and deletes done.
OK got that. I can't remember how removable the butterfly was. If it was screwed or riveted... Not sure how much more benefit would be gained not having it or a shaft (by deleting the whole valve body) in the way.
