I have an 09 megacab 4x4 drw. I have done the dpf delete and the egr delete but only unplugged the egr. I have an h&s mini max with full 4 "exhaust. Truck runs great but I have a few questions.

1. Is there any reason to plug the egr crossover tube or delete it.

2. The ccv still confuses me too. Not sure if I need to do anything with it and if so exactly what?

3. The pyro is tapped into the exhaust manifold at the collector. So pre turbo but when rolling on the throttle with the programmer on wild the egt's get up to 1100 to 1200 pretty quick. Not much change on the mild setting either. This seems high to me. What do y'all think and what is the fix?

Sorry for the lengthy post but any help would be appreciated.

whether or not to remove the EGR tube will depend on if you need to smog test it to register it.... so its up to you in my mind

The CCV system will feed your turbo a little bit of oil and gunk things up a wee bit so its easy enough to remove it that it is worth it, look up the glacier diesel website and look at their CCV open vent kit, its easy enough to build in a well stocked parts store.

my pyro is tapped in at the same location and when passing or pulling a big hill I can make mine tell me 1100-1300 on the hot setting, 1050-1200 on wild and on mild so they seem like they are similar enough...... I've been running it that way for 2 years and haven't cooked it yet

First off, just want to say thanks for all of the insight and helpful knowledge on the resource board; it really helps a newb to the diesel world tremendously.

Had a quick dumb question though about the CA Style Delete kit. Before I do a full EGR & cooler delete i was going to start with the CA style delete. Question is with the EGR blocked or with the plunger removed and the Cooler servo unplugged, is the coolant still free flowing to the heads or is there any reason why the flow would be limited risking the heads of heating up too much?

Wasn't sure if it would be better to do a full egr cooler delete similar to the sinister kit to ensure proper cooling flow back to the heads...only down side to that is when I have to smog it I''m assuming it would take around 6hrs to put all that crap back on!

Dsiabling the EGR items and such does not affect the coolant flow in the head or anything. I left the cooler in place because I don't want to have to put it back in to pass inspections. The reverting of the EGR/Plugs, and exhaust delete pipe is much more reasonable.

deletes with edge juice attitude already installed

This is an awesome thread! I'm ready to do the deletes. Having turbo troubles and want to boost my MPG.

I have a 2007 3500, 6.7L, mega cab, 98,000 miles, that already has the Edge Juice w/ Attitude (EJD3000DWAM) installed on it. It was on there when I bought it. I want to do the full delete of EGR and exhaust. From reading through this thread, the Edge by itself won't handle the full EGR deletes. I have a few questions for my truck:

Can I put the Smarty or another tuner on and leave the Edge on?

How involved in the Smarty install?

Where's the best place to buy the delete kits?

What muffler do you put back on after the exhaust delete?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

How involved in the Smarty install? Pretty simple, just connect to the OBD port and follow instructions

Where's the best place to buy the delete kits? any diesel performance, if you have a local dealer, price it out there and then just keep shopping around, Glacier diesel has treated me well....

What muffler do you put back on after the exhaust delete? Factory one works well, but all I did was the delete pipe

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
