C&C's comes with EB On/Off as per your last setting prior to shutting off.. This is a dealer flash to enable as well for non C&C's (that is if your dealer can read the instructions)

Mine stays on all of the time.. ('cept) for ice driving I agree on the auto on/off tow haul option

I completed this mod alittle over a year ago, and I love it.. I'd really like to do the same thing to tow/haul switch!

Installed today with the relay from O'reillys part# r3177.

I didn't think it worked at first because I turned the key to the 'on' position and the EB light wasn't illuminated. Once I started the truck the light came on.

Thanks for a great mod!

Michael

Not a 100% sure, but I suspect it would.

Actually there was a thread where someone tried and it will not work, the entire panel of switches are all connected on a common board, no individual wire to splice into.

I'd like to read that thread. Searched, but didn't find it.

Installed this last month and love it.

One issue that I don't know if could be done via some rewiring. I have factory remote start and the brake won't come on until the key is turned on. Some accessories work when remote started but no with no key turned on...unfortunately the brake isn't one of them.

Is there an easy fix for this? Would be nice if the brake could help the truck warm up a little quicker in the winter.

Shouldn't need to, if it's cold enough outside it will automatically engage the exhaust brake to help with the warm up.

If it's cold enough, the engine will idle up to about 1,000 rpm, but the exhaust brake won't come on until the button is pressed. (on a stock pickup)

I guess I haven't made myself clear. The exhaust brake is an accessory that won't come on UNTIL you turn the key on. It is plenty cold and the exhaust brake comes on instantly as soon as the key is turned on (after the truck has been remote started). But with the truck running by remote start the exhaust brake is always off. Doesn't matter if you hit the button or not, it just won't come on since there isn't power to that accessory.
