What should my next mod be? Fuel mod/turbo/?

As soon as I buy one thing for my truck that I like. I immediately start mind shopping for what I should get next. I have been reading mucho on turbos. I also have been wondering if I should get a big tube/2-micron fuel set up (I would not be happy if I could not floor it under 1/4 of a tank).

Ideas?

Thanx.

I would think fuel, only because i know your smarty can drop the pressure to 0 on higher levels...and adding a turbo first wont help the situation.....my next mods are fuel pump (GDP, not sure which one yet), then Lorenz Lift, then turbo....but it's gonna be a while in comming

I say fuel first, 2 micron filter is great insurance for your injectors. So while your at it you might as well add a good aftermarket pump! I ran my little stock turbo for almost a year with my TST/MP8 stack.

I agree with everyone else. The benefits are greater than the downfalls for aftermarket fuel systems.

I have the Glacier 392 performance kit that allows me to use the stock pump if I need to.

If your careful when you cut the drawstraw you can prevent some of the 1/4 tank problems. I cut mine according to Glaciers instructions and sprang it so it was located right at the center of the tank directly behind the stock fuel canister. So far I've never had any problems at 1/4 tank.

When I first did the mod I had about 5 or so gallons in the tank. I went out for a drive 5 miles to the town up the road then came home to drop my brother off. I was going to go to a cheaper station down the road a bit. After I left home for this station I had to stop on a grade for bridge construction. Thats when the truck died. There was a driveway right beside the creek so I rolled into the driveway and the truck fired right up. Luckily theres a gas station within rock throwing distance of the bridge so I drove over there and got fuel. Good thing about this was the station still had LSD!

The Glacier system was the second big mod I did. First was gauges and third was Smarty. I noticed a smoother idle and better response. I run a consistent 20 psi with this setup. The 2 micron filtration is also a MUST on these trucks!

I read somewhere that some dealers are installing a 2 micron filter setup on the showroom floor. I dont know if thats true but I'd like to have a dealer that concerned.
