Next mod should be...?

Really pleased with the way my truck runs and tows [I]BUT[I] I got the bug. I am thinking the next logical mod and bang for the buck would be a comp box. That should put me close to 400 RWHP shouldnt it? I need to keep the EGT's in check for towing. Any suggestions?

a comp would probably put you closer to 350-370.

What more in HP would the Smarty do? Would that replace my guages? I havent studied the Smarty much - is it a pretty simple install?

I'd say 350. The 275s are about 45 horse and I dynoed 315 with just a comp and BHAF, but you can't add HP numbers. Like 100 HP from a box and 100 HP injectors on top of lets say a 200 HP engine, that's not gonna net you 400hp.

Also you going to need a tranny. Or atleast a single disk, VB and an update kit. I would go head and get an extreme duty rebuild kit from the vendor of your choice.

You said logical and bang for the buck- both would mean to me something that works with the ez you already have plus you already have some sticks too,.....

So hows about a fueling box (tst, blue chip) and/ or some tranny mods

I say a tranny upgrade. You will be able to feel the power you have already.

I figured with the HRVP I woould already be at 350. I dynoed at 268 before the 275's and the HRVP and FASS pump...

Your gonna need a tranny before you can do anything else. I mean it might last a little while, but it WILL slip before long.
