Hello Everyone,
About 2 years ago I bought a used 07 Ram 3500 C&C w/ 6.7 Cummins. During this summer the front u-joint let go and destroyed the tranny and transfer case which were replaced for $15k.
My question is, does anyone know how to get into the trans controller to set shift characteristics that are more to my liking? I have changed my tires and wheels to 16 ply 265/70R19.5 on 10 hole alum buds which are great in that it required no suspension mods. The downside is that the shift points are off a little which hit my mileage around town pretty hard. I'm inclined to use the tow setting as my starting point, but that drops OD off and that just wont do. I've contacted Aisin directly and they said they don't even know of anyone who has created an aftermarket tuner for flashing, so I'm guessing it will have to be a hack. Anyone good at this kind of stuff?
In the end, my plan is to install a Fuller 5406B which is the electronic shift one which also means that I will need to get into the Can-bus configuration to defuel/interface for shifting points. I could use some help in that area as well, but it's a project for the future.
I've already done the DPF and EGR deletes and am running the performance tune using a SmartyME which the engine seems to like the most. The only spot left in that arena is the downpipe, which is sitting in the garage. Its been twin 4" stacked because... well, you know.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
