Question xzt or smarty?

I have read the forums for several months now taking in all the advise on power modifications. I am at a point of wanting to purchase a mild power modification devise and need your advise.

I have a 2006, 9,000 miles, Quad modified with road armor bumpers, AFE2 intake and magnaflow muffler. I will be adding gauges (egt, trans.a and boost).
Now I want to add some additional power and improve MPG. So, I have narrowed it between xzt and smarty (probably not exceeding level #3). I am interested in mpg, power - towing and not, and maintaining my stock transmission (at least for a while). I use the dealer for lifetime, included, oil changes every 3K, and the warranty is important to me.

I know the XZT is less than half the price of the Smarty, but would the smarty be a better tool as it is invisible to the dealer, easy installation and removal and includes additional features. I just want to know if I should spend the extra for my moderate power desires of ~65hp?

Thank, Steve

Love my smarty.... would highly reccommend and I believe it gives you higher rail pressure at lower RPM which translates into more low end torque.

it doesnt raise rail pressure above the factory max amount, just gets there earlier.

quad has come out with a second generation(so to speak) of his modules. there are a few getting ready to beta test(as soon as the ups man gets here). they have a few new bells and whistles and features that alot of us have been looking for.

If he is only looking for modest power gains what would be the benefit of stacking? Just asking for my information as I am in the same boat.

stacking is plain fun.
it allows you to use features of both devices. some folks dont want to run any pressure for most of their driving, then want alittle extra for those play times. a quick twist of the **** is all it takes.
smarty=many different programs available for your mods and usage, free downloads, clears/reads ecm and abs codes, adjusts for tire size, great support. can easily kill trannies if the driver doesnt use his head. undetectable by dealers. reliable
quad=adjustable levels on the fly, easy installation. modest to moderate power gains. reliable. soon new upgrades will be out. great support also
i have been running a quad module of some form for 3 years and really like it.
i have had smarty for 1 year now, and really like it too.

Question

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to get more recommendations or more direct advice. The whole point is to buy only one power item for mid/modest gain, not stack multiples. How far off are new products from Smarty and Quad? Is there really a Smarty Junior?

Thanks, Steve

If Bob Wagner says there is, then there is. I know nothing of it personally, might want to PM him.

I just put an XZT on my truck last week. I really love it so far. Much more responsive @ low RPM's and pulls harder once the turbo spools. I don't know about the MPG's yet... right foot is making them go down down down.
