I run my smarty on level 2, all default. My tranny gets up to 180 easy in town, not even driving hard. Cools right down to 150 within 10-12 minutes of locked up driving, but it still seems odd to get to 180 just cruising. Plus it takes forever to get my EGT's down to 250, hovers at 400 for 15-20 minutes before it drops. Should I leave it on 2, or turn it down to 1 and set the timing and TQ mgmt. back to stock? Did the tranny fluid and filter 2 weeks ago, Penzoil ATF+4, 10 quarts out 10 back in. Thanks in advance.

 

It sounds very normal, unlocked TC driving causes alot of heat due to fluid coupling. Putting around town is the worst....

 

where is your trans probe located? do you have your checkball removed from your trans line?
