Where to tap for an oil pressure gauge?

Can anyone clue me in to a place to tap in for an oil pressure gauge/switch. Looks like there are to plugs in the top of the filter housing. One by the high pressure line that feeds the turbo and another on the outside close to the passenger side fender. Either of these work?

Yes... I think most of us use the one that's easiest to remove.... the other one is kind of blocked in a bad spot.

Tony, when ever you got time do you think you could take a pic of where yours is tapped in? No rush, I would just like to see how it is done.

No problem. I wanted to take some pics of my new drive pressure gauge setup also... Some call it turbine inlet pressure.... I'll do both.

Here ya go... on the oil filter mount I have 3 tee fittings for my oil bypass, my oil pressure sender which you can't see in the pic, my low oil pressure warning lite, and my oil temp sender. Figure I'd tell you because I knew you'd ask...

I know what you mean...

The pyro is actually back further... what you're seeing with the coiled stainless tubing is my turbine inlet pressure setup (TIP) also called drive pressure. I haven't had a chance to hit 50psi boost yet since I've installed it, but at 20lbs boost I have 10lbs drive press. If I have 50 at 50 I'll be happy.. and so will my Cummins....

I bought the setup from Mike at LazarSmith.
