I run what my 30 year trans builder told me to run.......Good ole Mopar ATF +4 and change it out regularly....say every 20K miles or so. Also, it is synthetic.

Same here my trans builder suggested Mopar ATF+4, and change it about every 30K.

Interesting... The trans builders I talked to told me that with the red alto clutches not to use the atf+4 due to it having a lot of friction modifiers something not wanted with racing trans.

Although I occasionally run my truck down the track, It is not a dedicated race truck. I daily drive it, tow with it etc. The trans is smooth as silk but it hooks up and gos.

If the trans was born made to run Mopar ATF +4 and it works great, why change?

I guess either fluid will work then. I have upgraded clutches also. I have just used ATF +4.
