I have a 2004 2wd dually with no mechanical mods. I have done a few appearance mods, but nothing serious. I am thinking about adding a programmer and want the forum's expertise. I would like a few additional ponies, but don't want to have to upgrade the trans. Does anyone have some ideas that would give me what I want without having to spend a ton a money. I don't haul anything, but I do tow my 24 foot enclosed car trailer a couple of times a month. Living in Florida, hills are not an issue. Any ideas guys and girls???

Diablosport predator is one of the less expensive programmers. I have been very pleased with mine. But others will tell you different. I would think that you could get by on tow and maybe performance without any tranny mods.

Quad x2 or smarty jr. to keep your trans intacked both will give you the few xtra ponies your looking for and keep your trans from taking a dump on you.

If dont want to replace the tranny than take off the 22.5 and dont put a programmer on it on than you wont have to replace it for a long time or do the mods and look forward to the day you get to buy a good tranny for your truck, this is based on you keeping the truck for a long time.

I'd say SmartyJr. The Predator works really well on these trucks also, but no customer support worth a crap. The XZT would be a good choice also. Its almost a decision of whos name do you wanna buy?
