Van Aaken C3.1 and turbo?

Van Aaken C3.1 and turbo?

I found a good deal on a Van Aaken C3.1. I have a predator now which I like. Would this be a good addition?

I also am wanting to uprgrade my turbo. I really like the II turbos. I think I want something in a 64 but also looking at a sps62. Do they make a sps64? What turbo could I spool with the predator and a Van Aaken C3.1? I have a 6spd and turn the truck down during the coold months since to seems to rattle alil bit more then.

george its Jesse. I cant comment on the van aiken I have never ran one. I had a sps66 on my 05 and I could get it to light up with a tst/bully dog stacked so I dont think you would have a problem getting a 62 or 64 to come alive. if you plan on injectors and all that eventually I would say go with a 66 but if you pull a trailer much like you said before you do I would stick with a 62 or 64. are you going to the dyno day in danville next month or the one in april? im gonna try to be at both of them

Is the C3.1 the pressure box, or the duration box?

3.1 is pressure. I have the 3.2 which is duration.

If the 3.1 is as smooth and powerful as my 3.2, I think you'll be very pleased.

When you say you have the predator, do you mean Diablosport programmer or Dr.Predator box?

Just saw that in his sig...

Should stack real well as long as he doesn't run any programs that add pressure. Really will need a turbo to take advantage of the power that stack can make.

Jesse, I was going to the one in March but someone took vacation that day and I have to work for him. Should be there for the one in April. Hopefully I will have a turbo by then if I can figure out which one.
I don't think I will do injectors. If I can get around 550hp I will be pleased.
I do tow every once in a while and it's at least 14k.

you should be close to that. lots of guys have made over 500hp on stock injectors . I hope to see you there if im not at work myself

The C3.1 is a good towing box. Hits hard down in the lower rpm range but tapers off at the high end. Should really help in lighting off the bigger turbos.

hmmmm, should I try a 66 or 64. Don't plan on injectors inless I find a GOOD deal and then I would only go 90horse at the most.

How would a 66 do if I tow?

george when I had a sps 66 on my 05 I didnt have injectors but it seemed to tow ok, it had a little surge here and there but not bad. I would stay around a 62 or 64 if you plan to pull that goosneck some but guys are making big power on the silver bullet 66. it would give you room to grow. there are guys on here that have made big numbers on a 66 but im sure their egts are way hot
