Valvespring questions???
Mainly just one...
Had Hamilton's installed today...do I need to break them in??? Or do I just go out and let it rip???
Also, per info on some sites that sell them, they say good for 4500rpms. But when I read the instructions that came with the springs, they said 110lbs seat pressure good up to 5K...can anyone confirm or deny this??? Not looking to go to 5K but if Marco builds a 5K TNT/R, I would like to know if I can run it with 110lbs of seat pressure???
TIA!!

Geez les. A few months ago you wanted a smarty Jr. Now you're into valve springs and 5k rpm. Wicked advised breaking them in with 3 heat cycles on another board. I'd imagine that when you start getting to the rpm limits (whether 4500 or 5000 rpms), boost is going to play a big part in whether or not 110lbs on the seat will be enough.
Get that R tune and go have fun!!

best way to break in a new engine is to go straight to the track and let it rip ! Surprised me too but, Scheid builds a lot of motors and obviously knows what to do with them !

Depends on a lot of things...shipping coatings, treatments, etc.
It is always MORE safe to give it a few heat cycles and then be nice to it for a few 100 miles IMHO.

Cycling is bringing it up to operating temp and then total cool off. I do not think it can be done 6 times in a day. Getting the engine down to 70 -80 ° takes hours. Maybe 2 times at best.
