Two EGT Gauges
I searched but came up empty. My question is this. I have a DiProcol EGT gauge right now installed pre turbo and I'm gonna install the Juice w/ Attitude tomorrow. I know some people run one gauge pre and one post turbo but I don't really care about post EGT's nor do I want to drill another hole. I want to use the alarm functions on the Attitude so can I just use the same egt probe for both gauges? By that I mean one probe with both leads from each gauge going to it. Am I able to do it? Thanks...............

I would suggest right in front of cylinder #5 if you have a choice in where to put it. That one will be the hottest and average 150*F hotter than the rest at WOT. I would keep them about 1&1/2" apart if I could, just to keep from weakening the manifold. It doesn't really matter to the probes themselves.

The probes work off measureing resistance and voltage...the gauge knows how much wire is there and what resistance=what voltage and position of the gauge.
Basically, two sets of wires on on probe will confuse the gauge into thinking that there is A LOT more resistance in the system and REALLY throw off the readings!
Understand??

you can put both leads on the same probe. the probe produces a voltage that the gauge measures so it doesn't affect it to put the two together in parallel( two is fine, more is not). this info came straight from the Engineer at TST, and that is how I have my Egt based defueling on my TST and my DiPricol gauge which works fine.

The thermocouple makes a very small voltage but will give you very very little current. As long as the gauges are high impedence (draw very little current) and both use the same type of probe (type K, for instance), you should be able to use more than one on the same probe. I can't speak from experience on gauges made for trucks, just on the theory.
If you want to do a test, you could do the following:
1. Take the probe out of the manifold
2. Hook up one side to both gauges. For the other side, hook it up to one gauge but leave it exposed so you can touch the other gauge's wire to it.
3. Heat up the probe manually (like maybe carefully with a propane torch) in some rig you design so it maintains a constant temperature.
4. Look at the one guage as you connect the second one up. You'll see if it makes any difference.
5. Try it at different temperatures, low and high.
That's what I'd do versus taking anyone's word on the matter.

An update to this question -- it appears that it DOES work. I am doing the exact thing as Pull U 2. I already had a Autometer gauge when I got a killer deal on a Juice w/attitude.
I just started it up with just the Juice pyro hooked up, ran it a bit and noted the temps at different rpms. Then I unhooked the pyro leads and hooked them up to the Autometer. It ran pretty close to the same temps. Then I hooked them up together, and repeated the test. Both show the correct temps..

i think the 2 units in parallel would work ok if you have a powered EGT gauge [autometer or isspro] with a pricol, the thermocouple is what drives the movement in the gauge so it might not work well with their gauge though...
