turbo mounting stud broke!!!

I was towing a four horse gooseneck home from ID this weekend, and I suddenly had a very strange sound whenever i got over about 20 psi boost. When I got home, I saw that one of the bolts that attach the turbo housing to the exhaust manifold apears to have sheered off and I have an exhaust leak there, thus the sound. Has anyone had this happen before?

I haven't heard of that one, but holy crap!! Is it going to be a reasonably simple fix?? Is the other stud or either bolt beat up?

I don't see any other apparent damage. As far as how hard it is to fix, that is kinda what I am trying to figure out here! It looks like i have to remove the intake, and then the turbo itself to even see what to do about the stud or bolt or whatever it is. If it is covered on my waranty, I would rather someone else do the labor.

are you sure the stud broke? if it did, there would be black soot all around the leak. is this what you have?

Your going to have to drill it out or you could try a easy-out

Yeah, that is what I've got. I talked to the dealer and they said that the engine waranty should cover it so it goes in to get fixed on Monday.
