TST vs Juice

I think that this has been discussed ounce before but I could not find it, but has anyone compared the two on a dyno, if so what do you think? I am starting to get a little frustrated on my TST because one day it will just rock and another day it will not pull nearly as hard, to much duration I think but not sure.

Or any other high hp boxes that would compare.

The only Hot Juice charts from an 03/04 that I have seen is the one from Big Bob at the BD Dyno Day. Hot Juice is advertised as 180hp, but Big Bob got 204hp out of his beta version and supposedly Edge thinks they can get a little more. Thread with dyno chart here: https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...threadid=66935 …… No torque reading, but Edge says around 375ft lbs.

I have the same thing with my TST. Some days it does pretty good, and others it doesn’t. Not to mention the 2000 RPM surging and 2700 RPM defueling. I only have these problems with the TST. Really irritating and I'm done messing with it I believe. What I'm really excited about is the new VA C3.3 timing and duration box, if they are able to make it strong enough to compete. No $300 "Attitude Monitor" required to play . The VA's are the only boxes I have ever had that have always been 100% problem free. That will be sweet. I don’t see the new VA showing up any time soon, so if the Hot Juice for the 03/04s makes it out first, I plan on getting one to try.

Seems the more we talk about the TST, the more people come out of the woodwork that are having some sort of issues with it. Every time I post something about it my PM box gets flooded with people having issues, most all similar in nature. The 04.5 and 05 owners are loving it, but the latest programming really seems to be giving the 03 and 04 owners a fit. I think if the Hot Juice is competitive, TST can kiss the bulk of the 03/04 market goodbye.

I have had the TST box for a little over a year and no problems with it. I would not trade it for anything. I do have the old program. WILDMAN

If it is the original aggressive version.......want to sell it? How about just let me borrow it for a week.

Treat it like gold my man! Depending on who you talk to at TST, they will either tell you that they don't have that program anymore, or that they can't give it out because it has too many problems. Either way, TST just doesn't want to play ball. I would love to get my hands on the old, original aggressive version again just to confirm my suspicions.
Enough on the TST.....taking Mike's post a little off topic. I always seem to do that.

Brian,
Just to jog your memory, I also had installed the B1 this last January. It was probably good for 15 to 20 HP. The B1 and the Hot Juice (454.8 HP) were the only mods since I dynoed at BD in the spring of 2004 and laid down 250.7 HP.

I agree with you AK 100% I should have never gotten the reflash, I kick myself in the butt every day for that but what can you do. I have heard of the VA stuff but never really paid to much attention, do you have a website to where I can go do some reading about it. Thanks, Mike

I have had a Dr Performance Stage II (85hp) fuel/boost box. The standard Juice/Attitude, the Quad XZillaraider Race (130hp) box and now the HOT Juice/Attitude on.

I do not have any experience with the TST box, but from everything I have read, it probably can produce more raw power. I can not really see what the HOT Juice can do until I get the transmission upgrades done. I suspect that on level 5 with an EZ stack it will require a FASS and new turbo(s) and maybe some injectors.

My SOTP meter likes the HOT Juice Level 5(180hp) a lot, the stock 48re does not. Just finished going over all of the performance upgrades necessary to put me in the low 13s or maybe high 12s with Michael at www.hotroddiesels.com. It is probably going to be a month or so before he returns from Piers to do the trans, so maybe 2 or 3 months to do it all. Then I will know.
