tst or smarty?

Hello everyone Merry X-mas.Love this web site. Have a 2003 cr looking for a power upgrade? Thinking tst powermaxr49 or smarty. My question is which one is better? I also want to know about rail pressure concerns, I see more people using the smarty than the tst.
Please help

Welcome tennessee, you'll get lots of information here! See my SIG, I'm a Smarty user! From what I've seen here the Smarty has more power down low in the powerband, off idle, and the TST has more power at top end. I'm sure you will get others that know way more than I do....Merry Christmas to you as well!

What he said. Seriously, for your 03, Smarty first. That will make a bigger difference than the tst when you are starting out. First thing it does is take your SO and bring it to HO levels and then adds the power on top. Smarty does have more low end in the part of the power band you spend most of your time driving. Also less smoke and lower egts for a similar power level. Smarty/TST is a great stack for you, but you need a lot of supporting mods before you can use it.

Start with smarty and work your way up from there.

smarty is a much better choice to go with first , later you can add a tst after you re- build your transmission LOL... you will love the smarty but be careful, with the stock trans stay on levels 1 or 3 level 5 is fun but it will wear out your stock trans fast. SMARTY SMARTY SMARTY whooo hooo.........

def go with the smarty, I have a smarty and then after a while got a tst to stack the two and with in 30 min of using the tst my truck started to run like crap. I took the tst off and truck ran fine, put it back on and it ran like crap again so I just took it off completely. It was throwing codes and truck ran like it was only running on 2 or 3 pistons. Smarty has never given any problems and runs like a spotted but ape. Very good low end according to my professional butt dyno. haha
