So will this work on a stock tranny?

 

Yes, it'll work with the stock tranny.. I called TS and asked..

Towed my car trailer with my 4x4 on it (fully loaded exploder four-linked, full length dana 60's, etc pretty heavy) loaded its about 8k on the trailer. With smarty b4.2 I hated pulling before because It would never kick down out of overdrive (didn't sense enough throttle to kick down).. With the TS box on there it was bad ***.... The more I drive the truck now with this box on it, the more I love it. Best money I've spent in a while.. And it was cheap considering!

Hey Chris...will this product work on a 04.5 truck?? I really would like to have it to sold my tranny hunting issues...

 

I'm still trying to figure out the difference(s), if any, between this and the DTT unit. Anyone know?

Does the TS unit change line pressures at all or does it just delay the shifts?

 

I don't know the differences since this is the only things I have tried. I do know the shift enhanser has to be programmed to work properly. I am not sure if the shift enhanser wires in differently. I also don't have a tranny pressure test gauge.

I think the basic notion is that it tricks the tranny into thinking you are pushing the throttle farther than you really are. Thats my guess....
