TS Performance Shift Master

After searching this and other forums for the last several days, I still don't feel like I have an understanding of the consensus on the TS Shift Master. I have a stock '07, and I'm trying to raise the shift points a little for drivability and get rid of an occasional 1-2 and 2-3 shuttle shift at very low throttle input. Nothing major, just a bit annoying at times. I received the unit on Friday, but I don't really want to start cutting into the factory wiring if it's not going to work (or worse yet screw up something that can be fixed with removal of the unit).

Anybody have feedback on the units function, and in particular, on it's ability to address the above issues? Any problems or unexpected turns with installation on an '07?

Thanks for the help guys!

- Jason

Did you end up putting this on? What did you think of it?

yelloz28 - I did end up putting it in. I decided to purchase a 12v to 5v converter ($10 on ebay), so that I didn't need to splice into the +5v/- at the transmission. I fuse tapped an open circuit in the fuse box (ignition on), ran the wire to the converter, then to the TS shift Master. So the only wire I spliced on the truck was the TV motor wire (orange). The converter and Shiftmaster were installed in the cab to keep it out of the elements.

Long story short, after the install (and the addition of an extra half a quart of ATF +4 - I read somewhere that these transmission perform better a little overfilled) - the occasional 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shuttle shifts were gone, and the truck holds each gear a hair longer.

I have read many times that this unit is a POS - I couldn't be happier with the outcome on my truck. Shifts like it should have from the factory.
