At least TS can spell the title correctly for their product.

I put it on last night, and I have some issues at the moment. It holds out first gear for a LONG time, even at very light throttle position. But then it goes straight from 1st to 3rd. Skips right over second gear...

If i put the gear selector in 2, it will go from first to 2nd, but if the gear selector is in drive it justs holds out 1st and then goes straight to 3rd.

Sure hope i can get this thing figured out soon...

Not to get off topic, but I think DTT meant to do it that way in order to "spice up" the name a bit. I'm sure they know the correct spelling.

Back to the original topic...... be sure to give updates on the Shift Master. Seems like a good product. I've just always wondered if it really worked.

I'm more interested in *how* it works.

I thought the 48RE was mainly hydraulic, with only slight input from the TPS. Not fully electronic like the Ally or Tqshift?

The DTT and TS products are meant to do the same thing. I have the DTT version and it works great. I am confident the TS version will be an equal product.

It's not working yet, but TS is sending another box for me to try. To their credit, they have been extremely easy to deal with and very helpful.

Somehow i have a different harness going in to the connector at the tv motor. The trucks TS has seen before have 5 wires with a 6 pin plug (one unused pin). The harness on my truck has 6 wires with a 6 pin plug. The wires are the same color between the 5 wire harness and the 6 wire harness, only the 6 wire setup has an extra black wire. To further complicate things, although the wires have the same color, some of them do not have the same function between the two harnesses.

Even my Dodge Factory service manual for 2006 shows 5 wires, no mention of a 6 wire harness.

So long story short, i don't know why i have the wiring setup that's on my truck, but i think TS has it figured out and we are going to give it another try this week.

I want to thank TS for being helpful and not just giving up on me because i have a rare wiring setup on my truck. I am confident they will get it figured out. I will report back soon.

Chris
