Truck mounted air compressor.
I've got a York-based compressor in my Jeep (like Kilby, with one of his brackets) and I wouldn't go any other way. It has the volume to run air tools, air up tires quickly, and is reliable. Of course I have about $500 into that setup.
Just get the high flow air horn kit from JC Whitney. That's what I did. I use it to air up tires, inflate rafts, blow dirt outta my tent, blow the sand of the girls feet and of course, AIRHORN.
Try here
It only goes to 110 psi, but it gets there real quick, so airing up tubes and tires and stuff goes real quick.

Those pics are great and it looks like a nice clean install. Im wondering if there are any aftermarket additions in the future that I might wich that it was in a different location. Anybody got anything that goes in that location?
Also is there anything that plugs in that a DC inverter might be able to power? I did hear someone say that their inverter would kick off under the CTD warm-up cycle???

I run the kilby setup on my jeep, and I have the bracket and york compressor on my truck, but have yet to spend the rest of the money on the plumbing necessities. I love having the air on my jeep, and it never even sees the highway (offroad only). I can't wait till I can get a few hundred bucks together to finish the truck air system... And yes, I will be running air horns off it

i have a 1500watt dc to ac inverter installed under the driver seat and i run a craftsman electric air compressor and 5 gallon tank off of it with no problem, i just store the compressor in my truck bed and i like the portability of it and its not a permanent setup.
