Truck Lost Its Mojo.

My 04.5 has a edge juice with attitude with the hot program. Right now my truck is extremely gutless and will not go over 22 lbs of boost on all settings from stock to 5. There is a little more power as I go up levels but nothing like when it is working properly. What do you figure is going on? I use Tons of fuel conditioner and do not have a fuel pressure guage.

We have been having tons of fuel issues with fuel out of Edmonton ever since the change in October to the new ultra low diesel, Lots of geling even at temps around -10, kind of unheard of. We usually change fuel filters on our machines every 3-4 months, lately every week! We've been using Howes fuel conditioner, it doesn't seem to help, but today our bulk dealer tested our fuel and is recommending a different additive, said kerosene helps, but is going to give me some samples tomorrow.

You really need a fuel pressure guage.

Had no idea we were getting crap fuel. I am going on days off tommorow so I will dig into this issue a little more. Weather is around 0 here and I have been using Power Service every fill up for around 3 months. Only the recomended amount. People look @ me like I am crazy when I have my measuring cup out at the pumps!

yea...I thought I was alone in feeling a bit strange when people look at me fussing with the additive levels at the pump. I use stanadyne with every fill. Haven't had any fuel issues up here (Alberta) but the truck was running rough while traveling through nevada last month, new fuel filter seems to have fixed it. So far.
