I had my trans done a month ago from HTS I really enjoy it money well spent but there is two questions I have for those in the know 1 is when I put my truck in reverse and give it a little throttle there is a little shutter and some hesitation before moving and 2 is I will put my truck in park turn off come back after a quick stop start up go to put in drive and nothing reverse nothing back to park then to drive nothing shift to neutral a moment then to drive voila im off like nothings wrong shifts fine too I called HTS on this they said it was bleed back from torque converter just wonder if anybody else is experiencing this it has happened to me 7 times already any thoughts thanks

hi
the condition you describe is called convertor drainback !

i cant believe hts has not adressed this ?

if you get a transgo tfod-diesel vb kit it has a special spool valve that allowes fluid to flow in park to fill the convertor !

it fills as soon as you start engine in park !

so now you can let er idel all day and all night and not have to worry about front seal and busing damage from lack of lube .

trans shifts are fast and firm .

you can check fluid level in park with the kit !

many ++++s with the kit .

ps . make sure you do have the correct fluid level of atf+4 !

My DTT trans builder told me that fluid circ in Park has been proven to ultimately be not good for the 48RE. I forget the reason though.

But if the OP already has a built transmission, there would be no reason to further much with the fluid management. The VB was built to HTS specs; I'd leave it as is.
