Toyo Open Country's MT'S
I was thinking of getting a set of the open country MT's in a 285. I wanted to know how much road noise there was if any. How do they wear about how many miles is everybody seeing out of set? I pull a trailer so I need to have an E rated tire.

Toyo MTs
IMO, 285s are the best choice if you don't want to mess with a leveling kit or alter your oem suspension then they should fit fine. I went with 4.5 backspace and I would have been fine with 285s but with the 295s that I went with it is too danged close. I gotta do the leveling kit.
Noise. There is a little, but as others have told you it isn't much. I don't hardly notice it running. I notice it most slowing and coming up to a stop fror some reason but for what you're getting then they're great.
A question to other members who are running them,... I can't see on the tire what the speed rating is,.. does anyone know? I sure hopt they're good to 115 to 120 or I may have to swap them before going to the drags. Input pls.
Tks.

I had 43000 on my 37's just before I traded it in an we figured there was a good 10000 left on there.. I honestly thing you should get close to 50000 out of these tires..

I'm running the 295's MT's "E" rated tire. You can hear the howl a bit, but not bad at all. Mine are on stock rims, and fit perfect, they will not rub even if the susspention is fully compressed in the lock to lock position. Only have about 3k on the so far.

i have the 285/75/16s on the jeep. I dont notice any more road noise, went from MTRs though so about the same. Thought I would try them out and see what all the great tire talk was about.

By far the quietest and best performing (street) M/T I've ever had. I put M/T's on all my trucks and have had several different brands. These work better and are quieter than all the rest.

I'm running the 35's on my truck and would not trade them for the world. They are realy quite compared to my last set of tires( BFG's). They balance out better then most passanger car tires and they wear realy well also. I have about 25k miles on my set now and im just a little over half tread. They will probley last 45k, mabe even longer but I drive them pretty hard.

I think you would be perfectly fine with any tire rated over 90mph at the track. The amount of time the tire will see in excess of 90mph is so short. AFAIK, speed ratings are more of a sustained use guidline.
