I suggest making you own then till Scotty endorses one for his product.

Or just leave it the way it is until Scotty answers the question, or someone who has ACTUALLY done this!

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what do these torque tubes actually do?

Reduce your throttle response, while giving you a slight increase in top end air flow.

A couple customers and myself goofed around with the aFe torque tube (which does fit on a Ram Air III) as well as a couple home built units, and in each case, we noticed a definite reduction in throttle response. Those fins in the black plastic insert on the stock intake tube are there for a reason: To aid in smooth airflow into the turbocharger.

If you plan on doing a smooth tube, like the torque tube, combine it with a TAG unit to keep your flow into the turbocharger smooth.

Sounds like a lot of hassle for a minimal gain if any. Hmm.

From Scott's reports, he felt the TAG unit was a definite worthwhile gain. Combine the TAG with a smooth tube, and it may indeed be worthwhile, especially for the folks who are pushing alot of fuel.
