Tourque Tube prices

Anyone know where the best buy is for the AFE Tourque Tube.
I saw one thread that mentioned a site that had it for $81. But I can't find it again.

thanks for any help

You know, you can make your own for a lot less:

Two of these: http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...tegory_Code=9D

Four of these: http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...gory_Code=IHC1

....and one of these: http://shop.airflowonline.com/Mercha...gory_Code=ASET

Just a thought. Quit a few folks here made their own using the same parts. Looks good. Sounds good. Save ya a little dough.

thanks, do you think you can roughen the surface of the tube and paint it light grey to match the motor.

Yeah, just scuff it with a little sand paper. I painted mine with a high heat resistant ceramic coating (in a spray can) from Wal-Mart. Been almost a year now and still shines like new.

Are you suggesting using a smooth elbow on each end, but keeping the baffle in the middle?

FWIW, I ordered one this weekend. I did some research and the lowest price anywhere seems to be $91.13. Many retailers have it listed for this price...

nooooo not at all. baffle went out in the trash 3 thousand miles ago ( have 3500 miles on truck now ) just did not want to replace the 5 inch baffle tube when gutted is about 5 inches with a smaller diameter pipe. that pull down menu on the side was great, 4, 5 ,6 inch stuff even a few bits of stock for 7 inch I think.... I am of the thought that having as large a tube b4 the turbo allows for a better supply of air with less negative presure in the tube, giving better performance and sound. trying to figure out how to build a better airbox that is more of a sealed from the hot engine compartment setup than offered by afe and the like, the scotty seems to be the best but the cost is high. I gotta be able to build something that fits/ works better for way less
