325/600 1/4 times with Predator Stage II

My first diesel truck and of course first Cummins. I have caught the speed/BOMB bug.

Until a couple of weeks ago I had not been on a drag strip since the late 70s. Now I have the need for speed again. Maybe its late life crisis, don't really know but I got it.

I had kinda set mid 14s for the goal for my 7500lb 4x4. Of course the diesel forums have helped to fuel my desire. I see many running 13s.

Enough of that, this is my progress so far: 2004.5 2500 QC 4x4 600 48RE 3.73 LS. (BFG 315/70R/17s - not best for strip)

gauges (pyro, 60psi boost, trans temp).
1/4 Times at this point all stock: 9/12/04: Weight 7395lbs
60' 2.428
330' 6.898
1/8 10.730 @64.34
1000' 14.043
1/4 16.818 @81.1

Added:
aFe Magnum Force & Torque Tube with standard filter/pre-filter.
Dr. Performance(Predator) Stage II for 325/600(85HP,160fpt)

1/4 Times at this point: 9/26/04: Weight 7425lbs
60' 2.287
330' 6.446
1/8 9.995 @69.50
1000' 13.047
1/4 15.657 @85.58

The Dr. Performance(Predator) Stage II definitely adds hp/torque. I am satisfied with this box for now. 1.161 second gain in 1/4 is very signficant.

Banks Monster exhaust did not make it Friday for yesterday's runs, it will be on this weekend. It wont help times, but maybe help not melting something.

Launched at between 5-10 PSI boost and really never let up. EGTs went to 1400-1440 and pretty much stayed there.

Only thing that scares me is the boost on launch will peak very close to 39 PSI and then drop to 30-32 for most of remainder of 1/4.

Trans temp after 3 runs got up to about 170 never higher.

For now I will just plan my mods for after Tax Time next spring, I can live with 15s, just couldn't live with 16s.

It does appear that if I drive my age that my MPG with the Predator Stage II has improved at least 1 - 1.5 MPG. Of course it is very hard to drive my age.

Ram wheelsBy4 I've got a question for you Does your stage 2 have the wires for the cut off switch and moniter or just the main wires? Just bought 1 and even though it says stage 2 it does'nt have the extra wires? Wonder what the temps will be pulling about 11,000 lbs?

My Dr Performance (Predator) Stage II does have the wire for the cut off switch and the monitor connection. I do not have them hooked up.

I just pulled a 10000 trailer for about 15 miles in town, so dont really know what the road EGTs might be. Start and stop easy going they would get to 1300 on acceleration. But did not go far enough or at highway speeds or any hard acceleration to really know.
