Timing question...

im running the ddp 90's and i know this advances timing, correct?

my question is, is it still with in safe levels to run the revo timing #4 (most amount of advancement) with these injectors? or am i looking for trouble by adding all this timing?

TIA
bill

Timing rattle will tell all.I have never ran the standard revo with timing on 4.I would think you would be fine for daily driving but might want to be careful when hotrodding.I run the most advanced on the tnt/r with my flux 2's for around town driving but when I hammer down you can hear the rattle plain as day.

I wouls stay in the lower levels of advanced timing, My truck likes less timing. I have ran it on the most advanced but I don't like the rattle. As for HP between the levels, a dyno will only tell. 90 add timing so I would be careful. Too much timing is a bad thing,

it does seem to rattle pretty good, but im not sure if its too much or not. can you guys give another sign of too much timing?

Ide hate to find out the hard way... Im not trying to go for more power threw timing, im just trying to get beter mileage, its still up around $2.95 a gallon here. I was goiing to try timing 4 and sw 1 or 3.

Billm, you have a similar set up. I see you run nitros which adds timing when its on as well. I would run timing 4. I bet you will like it. Its for large inj and nitro. Its good for everyday and track for me. Actually runs pretty smooth

i know the TNT timing #4 (least amount of timing) is for big injectors and nitrous, but im running the revo standard right now, and im trying to get the best MPG's as possible. i just dont know how to tell if im adding too much timing or not by going to #4 (most added timing) on standard revo. It rattles a bit, but i dont know if it too much or not.

Can you hear it rattle when in boost? Thats when I think you have to much timing. There is really no set standard for too much timing but if you are concerned, back it down. Too much timing will chew her down and leads to some pretty nasty failures. You can actually blow a hole right through the piston.

smarty TNT with stock injectors and default timing on #3 with mild pressure setting #1 with an 03 tripple nickel has provided no timing rattle

step up to injectors or stack another box and then it does. so id be dropping a setting down to prevent melting a piston especially when towing.

I tow with mine on the above settings i keep EGTs at or around 1250 on the grades and so far no rattle no obvious issues. 97k miles and ticking
