thuren springs

Who is running a pair of dons springs? how do you like them? I am looking to replace my 4" superlifts with either 5" thurens or 4.5" fabtechs. The fabtechs are $220 and don's are $465. I would like the fabtechs because of the price, but scared about the quality. I don't want to be buying springs again in 2yrs like I am doing now because they are sagging.

You will like Dons...

If you are in a bind...the Fabtecks are not too bad.

Ill be doing the same thing soon, replacing my Superlifts with a set from Don.
Not sure how the fabtechs are, but I dont want to take the chance with another set of stiff springs, id rather get the right set once and for all from Don, I already talked to him about the spring rate, just need to save up the money

If you get his springs you more or less HAVE to get his shocks as well right. Since his springs are softer there would be conflict, i dont know thats why iam asking. Don Rules everyone els drools

When I talked to him, he said you might be able to get away with it for a little while, if you dont have a heavy front end replacement bumper/etc, but eventually youll want the better shocks to dampen it.
I considered doing dual shocks to get me by(5100s), but by the time you figure in the cost for the new shocks, and dual shock mounts, youre pretty close to buying his anyway...

Im going to give the springs a shot, and if I need them, ill get his shocks as well.

Another alternative is, he does have two springrates I believe, 330? and 380~?
Really, id talk to Don since hell have more info...

Love mine. Best on the market if you ask me. Now I have a set of his 4" longer 14-leaf full pack for the rear on order.

I'll tell you what, I'll sell you my Fabtech's, so I can go buy a set of Thuren's! Actually, I bought the fabtech kit before learning about Don. He set me up with a set of King shocks and the Carli rear pack and the truck is riding and handling very well. So, I'd still rather have Don's springs, but the Fabtach's may not be too bad of a second choice. I think the spring rate worked out to about 400 or 425 if I remember right (certainly stiffer than Don's). If you want to know for sure I could dig through my records.
