Thought this was interesting

This is my first post and I just thought you guys should see this.

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/ar...%20the%20twins

Those ford guys look at our forums? I accedently found this researching twin turbo setups.

I can't believe they actually thought it cost $15k to $25K for a twin turbo setup. Poor ford guys.

They probably saw the article on the Hennessey SRT-10 Venom 800 twin turbo upgrade I saw in one of the performance mags.

From there web site:

i just thought it was amusing that everything you guys say is weak about the powerstroke they like about it. It is also funny that there are a few cummins guys on that forum to put down all the unfounded BS.

I can't remember now right off hand which # but, the twin turbo post mentioned that he was pumping either 65 or 71 pounds of boost.

Man, I didn't know that a set up like that cost that much $$$.

If I spent that much $$ on my Beast I would go broke due to the attorney fees as a result of The Momma running me off. She's kinda mean spirited as it is.

FYI: I deny everything if anyone tells her I said that.
65 lbs?!?!?!

The twins on the 6.0 put way upwards of 90 lbs out; 120 if you have internals to handle it. You can make the truck handle 90 lbs of boost with less than 10k....25k for 65 lbs on a Dodge is a total waste of money

Not to mention the 6.0's and 7.3's running that kind of boost are C-RINGED, not fire rings....fire rings are the cheap man's way out of a blown head gasket. The C-ring is what REALLY handles the juice.

I'm sure this Dodge is fast, but don't be confused. If I anyone here ever gets a few thousand extra bucks to drop on their truck, that Dodge is gonna need a wing on the back to keep the wake of the blast off the Ford that just past him from blowing him off the road

WOW!

Guys, Those guys are in denial, We got rid of our 6 oh no after it crapped the tranny twice in 30k miles bone stock towing nothing. That tranny is a piece of crap the torque converter slips like crazy the one time I towed with it 100miles, it would down shift to 2nd on every little grade,... Grades I would cruise up in od in the Dodge. The 6 oh no truck is fast on the highway once it gets up to speed but then it limits at 85mph. Why rev to 4500 if you can only go to 85mph. I wouldn't modify a 6 oh no if I was paid. It is a light duty big show no go. I had no problems with the 7.3.
