Suggestions to help with low end acceleration on 305/555 truck

I have a TST R49 on my 04 305/555 and like it a lot for the most part. I was just wondering what the best box to stack with the TST for improving initial acceleration? I usually run the TST on 3/3 for daily driving and have tried many different settings but none seem to give the truck peppy off idle grunt that I am after. I spoke with TST about going with the early twins program but they didnt seem too keen on that pepping the bottom end up much. My truck runs good after the turbo builds a little boost, but in town it is pretty lifeless. Suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!

BullyDog Triple Dog

I just replaced my Bank's Six Gun with Speed Loader with the Triple Dog. I enabled the low end enhancements, and I can't believe the difference. The throttle response is so superior, and you can definitely stack that, as it is a downloader.

I just did the same thing with my Triple Dog. Definitely gave it more low end grunt. I also put on the outlook and it shows EG temps, tranny temp, boost and all sorts of other things. Very easy to install.

BDDLs ARE NOT the answer on the 305/555 engines, the Banks 6gun/spd ldr will blow the doors off the BDDL only on the SO/HO 2003-04 models. I would say for low end on the 555 engine get a SmartyCR or the Diablo Predator. Oh, and a new tranny because you'll need it

Sorry Goodeye, I think we posted at the same time, I'm not contradicting you. I'm just speaking from experience w/ the two on the dyno on my truck. I really liked my banks until it came time for more power

really....my 6 gun/speed loader was terrible, almost no difference to me but the bddl gave me great low end power that lasted all the way to red line.....

sell your tst and get a smaty or bddl and get a quad xzt or other pressure box to go with it. Unbelievable low end!

On an 03-04 the Smarty TST combo is hard to beat especially if you have the rail pressure upgraded TST. With Smarty you can have 4 different levels of torque management to keep your drive line in good shape. On an 04.5 to 06 Scary Larry (no longer available) outperforms the Smarty. If you want to continue to use your TST and you should then Smarty is the way to go....but you will run out of fuel if you run the TST above 3/3. Run the TST on 6degrees auto max with the Smarty timing on. ks

Thanks for all the replys. I have not been on here in a while. I guess the days of the MP8 or the EZ stacked with the TST are long gone then?

If you had to chose one or the other to stack with the TST which one would you choose, the MP8 or the Smarty, and why? Thanks.
