what is a silence ring, and where is it located? around the turbo right? Well if you take it off does it mess with your warrenty?
Also How long does your exhaust have to be to keep some backpressure. Can you dump it right off the cab?

the silencer ring is a little conical shaped metal ring that "guides" the incoming air into the turbo. yes, it's located inside the front facing intake of the turbo, and i can't see how it would affect your warranty unless you dropped something into the turbo while removing it.

I've driven around with just two feet of downpipe before. It sounded like poop.
