Studs for exhaust manifold

Where can I find a set of studs for my exhaust manifold. I am gona put on an ATS manifold with my new turbo but hopefully it wont be long and I will be installin a second gen manifold for twins and I think the job would be easier with studs. Plus they are stronger than the stock bolts so that will be added assurance.

I have made some calls and done some searching but cant find anything, I know they are out there but where do I need to look?

TIA

will, i bought socket head capscrews, and drilled the heads for lockwire. i was told with all that weight hanging on the manifold, the bolts would back out.
once is installed the manifold, i lockwired, and nothing it loose yet.. dont know if you need studs.

ARP makes NICE ones...

Nathan Wright / MPI hooked me up. The nuts are serrated and are ALMOST impossible to get off...so make sure that you have all you ducks in a row before final torque.

Thanks guys, I thought ARP made some but I couldnt find them on their website. I wanted to go ahead and order them but couldnt find a PN.

Christian, how big of a pain would it be to get them off, say if you sold the truck and wanted the manifold off of it?

I am gona run a single for now with a 3rd gen manifold so if it is that big of a deal I may just wait to stud the manifold when I do go to twins.

Chris, where did you get the capscrews? Anything special or just off the shelf?

I'd just use the OEM exhaust manifold lockplates, but at almost $10 each it's cheaper to make them!

However, I'm a fan of SS safety wiring through our holes.

The studs make it WAY easier to hang it up there...

Don't listen to a small turbo'd dude... ;-)

They are cheap...like 50 or less and are a slam dunk...they do not loosen on there own.

You can pop them free with a breaker bar...it just carves off a little manifold lol. I have had to take them off and on once and the teeth on the nuts are unphased.

Get um...say no to manifold leaks...even reusing the old school single layer gaskets!

Wow - that's a great price!

Sure beats drilling...

Guess Nathan doesn't include them with his towing twins?

Anyone else have them?

They were not included...but an option. I think because I have about everything but polished housings...he might of tossed them in there for free...

Or maybe its the duck hunting I offer...lol.

They are not that expensive direct.

That would be great if you get a PN for us.

Like I said, I am gona run a single for now so if I get the studs I want to make sure I can get my manifold off once more to put a 2nd gen on for twins and then maybe once more if I ever sell this truck.

Thanks
